ANITA | MALZONE

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Anita has established herself as a distinguished vocalist and songwriter,  calling Greystones in Co. Wicklow her home.

Anita's journey into the world of music commenced amidst the vibrant jazz scene of Melbourne. With over two decades of dedicated commitment to performance, composition, and music education, both in Melbourne and Ireland, she has honed her craft under the guidance of some of Australia's and Europe’s most eminent jazz music educators, musicians, and mentors. Her passion for the art of singing goes beyond the stage, as she is a trained BAST vocal coach who enjoys delving into the intricacies of vocal pedagogy.

Throughout her career, Anita has graced stages of all sizes, leaving her indelible mark on iconic venues such as Bennetts Lane, Dizzy’s Bar, The Planet Café, and The Empress in Melbourne. In Ireland, her musical prowess has shone brightly at The Whale Theatre, various festivals, and renowned music venues including the International Bar, Anseo, The Hot Spot, The Powerscourt Hotel, The Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Merrion Square, The Roisin Dubh, Punchbag Theatre, The Mint Bar (The Weston Hotel), and the Blue Note, among numerous others.

Apart from being the leading lady of her own musical endeavours, Anita collaborates with fellow musicians, adding her unique style to various projects and bands. She has made her mark as a sought-after session vocalist and has contributed her talents to music projects, jazz ensembles, and even the soundtrack for the Irish television and crime series Amber for RTE in 2014. Notably, Anita has been a soloist for The Gardiner Street Gospel Choir, showcasing her versatile vocal range.

Anita's passion for music knows no borders, as she has traveled extensively and performed in numerous countries, including Ireland, London, Wales, Belgium, Italy, the UK, Asia, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, and India. 

Her dedication to her craft has led her to explore diverse vocal techniques, including Bel Canto and speech-level singing, all of which she seamlessly blends with her innate sense of performance to sing with unparalleled authenticity. .
